Rudbeckia hirta : A 1995 All-America Selections winner. This sparkling yellow wildflower is reminiscent of summertime fields and prairies. Its long bloom period makes it an ideal addition to the perennial garden, because it is often blooming when other perennials are not, beginning in July and continuing until frost. It is easy to please, asking for sun, little water, and virtually any type soil. Indian Summer has semidouble and single blooms 4-7" in diameter and long sturdy stems, good for cutting. 3' tall. 100 seeds per packet.
