| | Green Globe Artichoke Seedlings ~ $
3.95
| | The best of the commercial artichoke varieties and a very good choice for home gardens. We have tried other varieties, but always come back to green globe due to their unusual vigor. The mature buds are large, globe-shaped and colored rich, deep green. Sharp spines on the leaves and buds are almost totally eliminated making them much easier to harvest and prepare for eating. We start our seeds early fall, the year before we ship them as plants. Will produce the first year from seed, and do even better in the second and third years. Should be planted earl in the spring, when the weather is still cool, to benefit from spring rains.
