A Napoletano type, Lettuce Leaf Basil is one of our favorite basil varieties. The leaves are large, up to 4" long with ruffled margins, which is how it got its name. Plants can be incredibly vigorous; we have seen them grow into small shrubs 3' tall. The leaves can be used for all the purposes for which one grows basil, and because of their size they are easy to pick.
