Made from sustainably harvested coconut fiber, these coir bricks provide a simple and impressively effective way to start seeds. Coir is easier to use than soil, and unlike peat based mixes, it is pH neutral and readily absorbs and retains water. It maintains an ideal ratio of air to water which contributes to higher germination rates. We have used coir to start some of our most challenging seeds with excellent results. Just add water and each brick expands to 1/2 cu.ft. of fine-grained transplanting material. It can be used alone or mixed with your favorite seed starting mix. One brick will fill 1-1/2 of our transplant trays. OMRI listed.

The nearly unbreakable Lexan lid transmits light for erect and even plant growth; insulated double-wall glazed panels on the sides reflect light and protect plants from wind and cold.
