The 5" long, cylindrical roots of this sweet-tasting beet make efficient use of garden space and are easy to peel and slice due to their uniform shape and size. Fine grained with a purple exterior and dark red interior, Cylindra can be roasted, baked, steamed and pickled. Also known as Formanova, this variety was developed in Denmark in the 1880's. 54 days.
