Glass Gem is a great popping corn. This beautiful edible ornamental was developed by Carl Barnes, a Cherokee farmer from Oklahoma. He selected and saved seed from heirloom varieties over many years as a way to connect to his ancestral roots. The result is a vivid mix of rainbow-colored, translucent kernels. Harvest when husks are dry and brown for the most intense color. Stalks have 2–3 ears each and average 6'. 110–120 days.
