Second in size to Waltham in our butternut squash line-up, Havana produces heavy yields of classic butternut squashes weighing 3-4 lb. each. The necks are long and straight with small seed cavities. The plants are vigorous and semi-vining and exhibit some tolerance to powdery mildew. Havana ripens early for its size and has a good storage life. It can be grown successfully in many locations throughout the United States.
