Rutgers 250 Tomato (OP)  #2978

This is an improved version of the Rutgers tomato, a variety that was introduced in 1934 and at one point was so successful most of the tomatoes grown around the world were Rutgers. The Rutger 250, so-named to celebrate the 250th anniversary of its namesake institution, has been developed for backyard gardeners who want old-fashioned fresh tomato taste. The mid-sized fruits grow in clusters on bushy plants which are productive without being overwhelming in size. Semi-determinate. 78 days.
