Also known as Striped Armenian, Painted Serpent is an heirloom variety with delicate, slightly fuzzy skin and sweet, crisp, melon-like flavor. Curvaceous fruits are lightly ribbed with alternating green and dark green stripes. They grow up to 2' but are best when harvested young, around 12–15". Plants produce long vines, require fertile soil and perform well in hot weather. Be patient—fruit set is slower than traditional cucumbers—but is worth the wait. No peeling necessary. 65 days. Approx. 11,800 seeds/lb.
30 seeds per packet.
30 seeds will sow a 15' row at 2 seeds/ft. Thin or transplant seedlings to 12" between plants.
