Yellowfin zucchini

Black Beauty Zucchini (OG)  #3154

This open-pollinated strain of dark skinned zucchini was originally introduced in the 1920's and was an All-America Selection in 1957. While not as productive as Dunja, Black Beauty produces good quality zucchini with dark skins and nice white flesh. 55 days. Approximately 185 seeds/oz.

30 seeds per packet.

One packet will sow a 25' row at 6-10" spacing. Thin or transplant seedlings to 18-48" between plants.

Cassia Zucchini (F1, OG)  #2953

This hybrid strain of Costata Romanesco squash has the same great flavor as the heirloom strain with several advantages. Cassia plants have a more compact and open growth habit that makes monitoring their progress and harvesting much easier. The fruits are slightly longer, with nice contrasting colors in the striping and large, well-attached flowers that are less likely to separate with handling. Cassia plants are well balanced and continue producing even when the conditions are cool. Suitable for production in tunnels or the open field.

20 seeds per packet

20 seeds will sow a 17' row at 6-10" spacing. Thin or transplant seedlings to 18-48" between plants.

Cocozelle Zucchini (OG)  #2936

An heirloom zucchini dating back to 19th century Italy, Cocozelle produces slender fruits with alternating light and dark green stripes on smooth, thin skins. The plant is a bush which grows a manageable 2 - 3 feet in diameter, so Cocozelle may be grown in rows, raised beds, or even large containers. For best texture and flavor the fruits should be harvested when they are 6-8" long. 45 - 50 days. An average of 230 seeds/oz.

30 seeds per packet.

One packet will sow a 20' row at 6-10" spacing. Thin or transplant seedlings to 18-48" between plants.

Costata Romanesco Zucchini (OP)  #2942

Believed by many to be the best tasting Italian heirloom zucchini. This is a large, leafy bush variety, and although production is less than some zucchini, the taste and texture are excellent. Fruits are medium gray-green with noteworthy ribs. The flowers are large and ideal for stuffing and cooking. 52 days.

Desert Zucchini (F1, OG)  #3152

Noteworthy for smooth, dark skin and a long production cycle that will continue until weather conditions are no longer conducive. Desert generates a steady output of high quality, medium length fruits with near-perfect shape and impressive uniformity. The growth habit is open, easy to tend and harvest. Desert grows well in the open field or tunnels and has a full range of disease resistance. 48 days.

Yellowfin Zucchini (F1, OG)  #2952

Early, high-yielding, with beautiful golden-yellow skin and smooth, mild flesh, Yellowfin is a standout among yellow zucchini.  Yellowfin plants are compact and low growing with an open growth habit for ease of picking.  Fruits average 1-1/2" x 7" when at their peak with a long harvest period. Nicely complements Dunja, our green zucchini from the same seed producer. Powdery mildew resistant. 61 days.
